Medical Gas Piping Installation & Certification Support

Oxygen, medical air, vacuum, nitrous and nitrogen systems installed by ASSE 6010 brazers to NFPA 99, with verification support.

Overview

Medical gas is life-safety piping, and it is regulated accordingly. Every joint is brazed by an ASSE 6010 certified installer, every material and procedure follows NFPA 99, and every system is verified by an independent ASSE 6030 inspector before it can be used on a patient. CMI builds and maintains these systems for San Diego hospitals, surgery centers, dental and veterinary facilities.

Scope covers oxygen, medical air, medical vacuum, nitrous oxide, nitrogen, carbon dioxide and WAGD systems: source equipment and manifolds, medical air compressors and vacuum pumps, distribution mains and risers, zone valve boxes, area and master alarm panels, outlets and inlets, and the labeling and documentation the system has to carry.

Renovation work in an operating hospital is the hard version of this job. We plan shutdowns with your facilities and clinical teams, provide temporary supply where required, isolate and cap correctly, keep negative pressure and infection-control barriers in place, and coordinate the third-party verification and paperwork so the space can be occupied on schedule.

Questions owners ask

Medical Gas Piping — straight answers

Can you verify your own medical gas installation?
No — and neither can anyone else who installs it. NFPA 99 requires verification by an independent ASSE 6030 inspector. We coordinate and schedule that inspection, correct anything it identifies, and deliver the certificate with the closeout package.
How do you handle a medical gas shutdown in a live hospital?
With a written shutdown plan approved by facilities and clinical leadership: scope, isolation points, duration, temporary supply (cylinders or portable manifolds), notification, and a verified restoration and re-test before the area returns to service.
Do you service existing systems and alarms?
Yes — outlet repair and replacement, zone valve and alarm panel service, source equipment maintenance, leak location, and annual inspection support under a maintenance agreement.
